COVID-19 Updates

As of March 21, 2022, the mask requirements are being lifted within most indoor settings, which include veterinary clinics.

Masks and face coverings can be worn at the client’s discretion in the waiting room, though we ask clients to respect the comfort of others by still maintaining proper social distancing.

The plexiglass is gone! I repeat the plexiglass is gone!

We continue to remain open to serving you for all your pet care needs and maintain our current health and safety measures within the hospital. Hand sanitizers are still available at the front desk and social distancing is still suggested for the comfort of everyone. Our bathroom is still open for our client’s use.

Masks and face coverings can be worn at the client’s discretion in the waiting room, though we ask clients to respect our doctors’ health by wearing their masks in the exam room or maintaining proper social distancing. Our doctors and staff are in contact with many people on a regular basis, if one of our staff falls ill, it could be catastrophic for the whole clinic. We ask for understanding in this

There is now no limit to people in the waiting room or clients per appointment. If you feel more comfortable waiting outside or in your car for any reason, we just ask that you call or come into check-in.

We continue to accommodate by appointment only and we still suggest you call ahead to make sure your purchase is available for pickup.

All exam rooms are still being disinfected and cleaned after each appointment; we appreciate your patience as this may cause some delays in scheduling times.

We remain vigilant of all updates coming from the College of Veterinarians and the Ontario government.

Thank you for your cooperation.

As always, we wish your families and pets the utmost health and safety.

Keeping Our Hospital Safe During COVID-19 Outbreak

We are taking added precautions to keep our clients and employees safe.

The safety of our staff members and clients is a priority at Beattie Pet Hospital and it is important that our hospital remains open to serve the needs of our pet community.

Precautions we have implemented in our hospital:

  • Reduced volume of clients coming in

  • Increased hand sanitizers around the hospital and client area for use by staff and clients

  • Social distancing in exam rooms with staff and clients

  • Disinfecting exam rooms and common reception area after clients leave

  • Janitorial services after hours

  • Reduced number of staff working in our hospital

  • Requesting clients to wait in car or go home while diagnostics are happening at hospital

  • Having clients who are healthy and do not have symptoms sanitize their hands

We are doing our part as best we can during these times and are staying updated accordingly, as new information continues to come out.

Our Staff is kindly asking that you advise us if:

  • If you have been in contact with anyone who is in self-quarantine or who has tested positive for COVID-19

  • If you are experiencing any fever, cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, fatigue, or any other flu-like symptoms

  • If you have traveled outside of the country in the last two weeks

Let us know and we will guide you appropriately on how to proceed to seek care for your pet.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to helping your pets in the best way possible.
